During the second quarter, companies normally request for midyear economic briefings on the prospects of the Philippine Economy as it affects their business. ACPACI invited Dr. Emilio T. Antonio, Jr., Associate Professor from the University of Asia & Pacific talked on the topic “Will the Global Economic Slowdown Damage RP Growth?” He paraphrased the title to “When the US Economy sneezes, will the Philippine Economy catches Pneumonia?” We learned that economic facts disprove our fears. However, we need to align our paradigm on how the current news is magnified.
