1st ACPACI Central Luzon Conference
Mimosa Convention Hall, Clark field Angeles City Pampanga
Whilst a dream, it happened. With so much enthusiasm and zest from this newly-organized chapter, the 1st ACPACI Central Luzon Conference was staged with flying colors. The event was attended by about 80 CPAs from Central Luzon coming from Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac. With the theme “Diversity, Resiliency and Growth in Challenging Times” the invited speakers for the technical sessions provided learnings on how to cope as well as how to strengthen their role as CPAs in their respective companies. Providing the keynote address was Senator Francis Joseph (Chiz) Escudero.
In the conference, the first issue of the ACPACI – CL newsletter was released. In her opening remarks, Marita said that the conference is a product of a very active chapter whose objective is to provide a venue for the CPAs in commerce and industry in Central Luzon similar to GACPA, ACPAPP and ACPAE network and learn from each other.
There were four able speakers namely, Atty. Punzalan who spoke on the responsibilities of companies and shareholders in relation to the Code of Corporate Governance released by SEC. A talk on small medium enterprises and the opportunities that can be provided by Planters Development Bank was the center of the speech of Ms. Agnes Angeles, SVP.
What are noteworthy are the tokens given to each speaker which is an airplane replica from the vintage three-winged fighter planes to the Cessna plane. Kudos to the board of directors of ACPACI CL for a job well done.
