As part of its commitment to supporting the government's developmental efforts, ACPACI expressed its backing for the Bureau of Internal Revenue's (BIR) tax campaign initiatives. On February 4, 2025, ACPACI attended the launch of the 2025 National Tax Campaign held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City. The Association was represented by its National President, Aristeo Cruz, along with Vice President for Operations, Cecille Carandang, and Vice President for Community Development and Social Involvement, Ofelia Oroceo.
With the theme, “Buwis na Tapat, Tagumpay Nating Lahat”, the campaign aims to improve tax compliance, raise revenue, and educate taxpayers about their tax obligations. The event was highlighted by a keynote speech from the President of the Philippines, His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. In his address, he emphasized the importance of paying the correct taxes, describing it as a crucial act of nation-building that contributes to a more prosperous future for all. He also commended the BIR for achieving a historic milestone, surpassing its collection target for the first time in two decades, with over P2.85 trillion collected in 2024.
BIR Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. also delivered a message, underscoring the importance of tax compliance. He stressed that the National Tax Campaign is vital to the country’s economic recovery and growth, achieved through the timely and accurate payment of taxes.
