The Association and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) successfully conducted the first webinar on February 26, 2022 under their Webinar Series project for the year. With over 600 participants, the webinar dwelt on the topic, “Upskilling with Finance Business Partnering Skill”.
The discussion was led by Ms. Joweeh Liao, Finance Director and Head of Business Transformation of Watsons Personal Care Stores (Phils.), In., and Mr. Mohamed Elrouby, Global Finance Lead and CFO of of Pharmanovia for Middle East Africa. With the caliber, and vast knowledge and experience of the speakers, the comprehensive and insightful discussion provided the participants valuable learning takeaways that will surely help them cope with the challenges of their roles as finance professionals and business advisors.
The webinar started with the opening remarks of Pres. Aphat Martinez, where he shared that the collaboration between ACPACI and IMA has been formed and fortified over the years, particularly on providing webinars and other continuing professional development programs for their members, to empower them to become highly indispensable professionals and partners in the growth and development of the business industry, and the nation as a whole. He further stressed that these activities are designed to help their members stay relevant and needed in the face of everyday challenges.
The collaboration between IMA Philippines and ACPACI was formed through the initiative of IMA Phils. President, Loudie Jay Falguera. Pres. Loudie is also ACPACI’s Vice President for Membership.
